As trail runners, we love our natural environment and believe that it is a space worth protecting, to ensure it is there for many future generations to enjoy.

One way we aim to take responsibility is by being a 1% For The Planet Business Member.

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions.

1% For The Planet advises business members on strategies for giving, certifies our donations, and amplifies the impact of environmental conservation through their network of partner organisations.

As a 1% For The Planet Business Member, Those Guys Events (organisers of The Guzzler Ultra) commits to donate the equivalent of 1% of our gross sales to approved environmental non-profit organisations, every year. This is before costs and regardless of profit.

Every time you spend with us, we will donate 1% of your purchase to environmental charities.

Since joining 1% for the Planet, Those Guys Events and our retail business, The Trail Co., have donated well over $70,000 to a variety of great causes including:

By running an event by Those Guys Events, you’re supporting us and our environmental giving. However, the urgent issues facing our planet need so much more than they’re currently receiving. 1% For The Planet states that, currently, only 3% of philanthropy goes toward environmental giving.

While there are many ways to give back, 1% for the Planet provides two membership programs: business membership and individual membership, which garner additional value and opportunity to those committed to supporting our planet.

Through business and individual memberships, 1% For The Planet’s goal is to significantly increase the overall amount of global dollars going towards protecting the planet, with the smartest donations possible.
