Those Guys Events works with all of the land stakeholders to ensure have permitted access to the trails we run our events on and we commit to responsible use of the trails.
We take pride in creating well-marked events, ensuring that our runners safety remains our first priority. During The Guzzler Ultra 100km, runners can be on-course for up to 28 hours, so clear directional marking is imperitive for tired athletes.
You may notice event markings in the form of:
- Neon pink and yellow reflective flagging tape,
- Directional arrows and no-entry signage bearing ‘The Guzzler’ logo,
- as well as event branded banners
on the trails during the build up and days following the event. Where possible, these are fstened with pegs or removable zip-ties to ensure no permanent damage occurs.
All of our event course marking is reusable, and we endeavour to collect every single piece we put out every time we use it.
No course marking is deliberately abandoned on the trails. If you think you have found some of our event course marking or signage that we need to collect, or that has been sabotaged, please email us with details on
marking@thetrail.co.
Fore-runners check our courses prior to the event start and sweepers follow at the tail end of the event to ensure marking is removed in a timely fashion. Due to the distance of our 100km event, some marking will be collected in the days following the event weekend.
